Following our incredible success last year, Aqua Platinum Projects will be entering the UK Pool and Spa Awards 2017 for the fourth year running.
A total of 6 projects have been put forward for various categories with winners to be announced at their annual awards ceremony being held at The Vox, Birmingham in early December.
Residential Indoor Pool of the Year:
Park Lane; Residing in one of the most sought-after locations in London, this client’s project encompasses the full design and construction of a large indoor swimming pool complete with a luxury sauna room. The pool’s bespoke water feature compliments the spa’s glazed panels giving an overlook of the leisure complex, finished throughout with a bespoke bizassa blend of mosaics, the exact match of the nearby 5* Bvlgari Hotel.
Residential Indoor Pool of the Year:
South Audley Street; Our Mayfair project includes a stunning swimming pool which has been designed to fit flawlessly within the basement of high-quality luxury apartments. Within the swimming pool a bespoke stainless-steel air bench and custom-made underwater speakers were installed, making the pool an incredible feature to the property.
Commercial Pool of the Year:
190 The Strand; Appointed by the Berkley Group, new homes and property development, this stunning scheme included a commercial indoor swimming pool, vitality pool, with bespoke sauna and steam room.
The vitality pool, equipped with air and water jet features, releases a calm and detoxifying atmosphere.
Our interpretation of the sauna design boasts all health benefits, including muscle relaxation while the completed steam room enhances overall detoxification of the body.
Using top of the range, expertly installed, filtration and sanitation equipment throughout, this pool has been labelled the best within the Berkeley Group by the directors and praised by the water treatment supplier as a ‘best in class installation’.
Outstanding Pool Design of the Year:
Post Office; A new swimming pool within a new development based in the prestigious area of Notting Hill. The freeboard pool is situated in the basement giving exciting opportunities, implementing mood lighting to compliment the stylish décor.
Finished in a large format stone, the highlight of this luxury leisure facility is undoubtedly two glazed panels to one edge of the pool, together spanning a length of 7 metres, the panels form an aquarium like view of the pool from the wellness suite.
Luxury Pool of the Year:
The swimming pool at Rutland House has been added to as part of a new residential development in one of the most exclusive London streets. The pool complex includes a luxurious deck level swimming pool with integral vitality area spa bay finish in high-quality mosaic tiles. The facility is topped off with a steam room finished in a mosaic to match the swimming pool.
Commercial Refurbishment Project of the Year:
Saltdean Lido; The grand reopening of this outdoor swimming pool took place in June 2017, prior to this, the Lido undertook extensive improvement and renovation works. Aqua Platinum was appointed as the main swimming pool builders for this fantastic project which involved restoring the Saltdean Lido main pool into a heated 40m swimming pool. In addition, the children’s pool was also completely renovated with interactive water features and slides being included within the design.
