The UK Pool and Spa Awards was in attendance by the Aqua Platinum team this week.
Held again at The Vox in Birmingham on Monday 4th December, the annual ceremony celebrated excellence and achievements over the year within the pool industry.
Presented by Michelle Dewberry, winner of BBC TV series ‘The Apprentice’, we were delighted to win for one of our most impressive projects to date.
Our Saltdean Lido project won Commercial Refurbishment Project of the Year.
Aqua Platinum was appointed as the main swimming pool builders for this fantastic project which involved restoring the Saltdean Lido main pool into a heated 40m swimming pool.
In addition, the children’s pool was also completely renovated with interactive water features and slides being included within the design.
Inclusive to this the Special Achievement Award was also awarded to us for this project, which we were honoured to receive as to us this really is an exceptional achievement.
Before the night was up we were still able to swoop another prestigious award, our project completed in Notting Hill, London won the award for Outstanding Pool Design of the Year.
A new swimming pool within a new development, the freeboard pool is situated in the basement giving exciting opportunities, implementing mood lighting to compliment the stylish décor. Finished in a large formant stone, the highlight of this luxury leisure facility is undoubtedly two glazed panels to one edge of the pool, together spanning a length of 7m, the panels form an aquarium like view of the pool from the wellness suite.
We are always appreciative when winning such awards as we have, it gives a reflection of all our hard work from initial design stage to completion and we thank all those who voted for us.
