The peaceful and scenic city of Salisbury, located in the south east of Wiltshire, poses as home to a variation of high-profile property owners and visitor attractions – including the cathedral and former version of itself. With a sacred atmosphere and stunning city views to match, there’s no question why this location is a hot spot for property enthusiasts.
Aqua Platinum had been commissioned by a leading high-profile architecture practice, Greenway Architects as the facility designers and builders for a manor house project on the outskirts of Salisbury. The large-scale refurbishment of the Grade II listed manor house underwent installation of a tailor-made swimming pool and spa area within the basement of the property.
The basement construction affords space for a 18m long pool that has structural columns passing through, adding an exceptionally technically challenging feature rarely seen in swimming pool construction. Alongside this feature there are double-sized steps running the entire length of the pool with strip lighting and a bespoke cantilever tile detail. The indoor pool hall is complete with a large spa capable of comfortable seating 6-8 adults, raised to benefit from the views over the main swimming pool and out to the courtyard.
Our client is a prominent individual who has had several swimming pool installations in the past. Aqua Platinum delivered a swimming pool that the family had not yet experienced – the system had been designed to give the users water and air quality that brought their home to life, via the use of commercial-grade filtration systems, fully automatic UV, Ozone water treatment plant and essence dosing introduced into the heating and ventilation package.
