As part of a Grand Designs project, Aqua Platinum were appointed to a swimming pool design and build on a first floor terrace, in a remote location on the Isle of Wight.

An essential element of the design of the project was to ensure that the views of the Solent could be taken in when using the pool and spa facilities, and to ensure this, a cantilever overhanging structure was created to support the space, over the main house.

The terrace area is designed using a beautiful chalet style wood, and surrounded by a glass structure enclosing the area. A variety of high quality blue tiles are used within the interior of the pool, which contrasts with the colours of nature in the surrounding wooden characteristics and greenery. The pool also includes a rolling cover to protect the water from loose leaves, which can be rolled back quickly and easily.
