Every swimming pool, spa, sauna or steam room is different and will require varying services. Steps you can follow between your regular service visits include –
- Checking the water level and topping it up if need be
- Cleaning the filter/s
- Cleaning out the skimmer baskets
- Vacuuming the floor of the pool
- Brushing the wall of the pool
- Cleaning the area around the pool terrace
- Checking the pH levels and adjusting the water balance
- Checking your pool chemicals and ordering any necessary replacements

A typical service would begin with arriving at a client’s house at the time stated on our internal system, Job Logic. Our engineer would then catch up with the client/site team to ensure all is okay.
From the plant room our engineer would then follow the below checks –
- Turn on the steam room/sauna so this can get up to temperature.
- Carry out the water chemistry testing.
- Calibrate the chemical dosing unit (if installed)
- Check over and clean of probes, and clean strainer.
- Backwash filter(s) as much as needed / as long as possible if water allows.
- Cleaning of all pump baskets, and chemical injectors and ensuring dosing lines and hoses are good, clear and secure.
- Isolate the chemical controller sample valves and add any chemicals to the pool. Usually alcaplus and hardness increaser.
- Brush, vac and net the pool and or spa in question to a spotless standard.
- Testing of all features in the pool/spa including spa heat-up buttons, jets etc.
- Re-open the sample valves, and let the chemical controller settle out with the dosing off. Re-test and calibrate if needed.
Once the above has been completed, all final checks of the pool, spa and plant room are carried out to confirm that everything is operating as it should be. Our engineer will then update the client/site team with what we have carried out.
